“Warehouse” is one of the critical logistics functions that can largely influence the supply chain performance and customer satisfaction. As a critical link in the supply chain, warehouses plays a vital role in executing both forward and reverse supply chain operations. Modern supply chain practices, like just-in-time delivery, cross-docking, etc., coupled with e-business and the ever-increasing pressure to improve supply chain efficiency have introduced the need to improve supply chain efficiency and productivity of warehouse through effective warehouse management system.
